Entry Requirements
Learners must demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification. Additional requirements include:
Age: 18 years or over — this reflects the vocational competency prerequisite, as attaining the depth of industry experience necessary to credibly train and assess others typically requires several years in industry
Language, Literacy, Numeracy & Digital Literacy: ACSF Level 3 in Learning, Reading, Writing, Oral Communication, and Numeracy, assessed using the Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA) during Pre-Training Review
Digital Literacy: Sufficient to navigate Microsoft Teams, Moodle LMS, and online assessment submission independently
A Pre-Training Review (PTR) is conducted prior to enrolment to confirm suitability, assess existing skills using the CSPA benchmarked against the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) at Level 3, and determine the most appropriate delivery pathway. The outcomes are documented in your Individual Training Plan (ITP).
