About RPL and Credit Transfer

Nationwide Academy recognises and values your existing knowledge, skills, and qualifications. We offer two pathways to credit.

Pathway 1

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL is the recognition of knowledge and skills you have gained through:

Work experience
Life experience
Self-directed learning
Informal qualifications
Pathway 2

Credit Transfer

Credit Transfer recognises formal qualifications or units of competency completed at other RTOs or educational institutions. If you have previously completed relevant courses, you may be eligible for credit.

No cost for assessment
Credit Transfer assessments are provided free of charge.

Who Can Apply?

Any student can apply for RPL or Credit Transfer. Whether you are enrolled in a course or considering enrolling, we can assess your prior learning or previous qualifications.

How to Apply

Speak with our enrolment or compliance team about your interest in RPL or Credit Transfer.

Submit Evidence
Provide documentation to support your claim. See Evidence Requirements below.

Assessment
We will assess your evidence and may conduct interviews or practical assessments.

Outcome
We will notify you in writing of the outcome and any credit granted.

Evidence Requirements

For RPL, you may provide:
Work references from employers
Certificates of completion or training
Portfolio of work samples
Detailed written statements of experience
For Credit Transfer, provide:
Certificates or transcripts from previous course
Unit descriptions or course outlines
RTO registration details (if completed at another RTO)

Timeframes

We will assess your application within:

after receiving all required evidence

No charge for assessment
RPL Assessment
Fees may apply depending on complexity. We will advise you before assessment begins.
